On Sunday's episode of Oprah Winfrey's
"Next Chapter," Miami Heat trio LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris
Bosh sat down with the famed host to talk about their NBA championship win and
their friendship on and off the court. Then in a one-on-one interview with
James, they discussed his engagement to his 25-year-old longtime girlfriend
Savannah Brinson.
The two have been together eight years and
have two sons together, Bryce, 5, and LeBron, Jr., 7. James finally popped the
question to his high school sweetheart during a New Year's Eve party in South
Beach this past year.
"I was nervous. It felt like before a
finals game," James said.
He asked Wade to hold on to the $300,000
engagement run during the party because he didn't want Brinson to "bump up
against me and felt [sic] the ring."
"I asked him for it right after the ball
dropped," James recalled. "He was like, 'You ready?' I was like, 'If
you don't give me this ring right now, I ain't gonna do it.'"
The two have yet to announce a date for their
wedding, but we're sure Brinson has been having a great time showing off her
rock at Heat games all season.
