NAETO C IS GETTING HITCHED

Rapper Naeto C is getting married to his fiancée, Nicole Chukwueke, this Saturday 21 July at a private wedding ceremony. The wedding venue has been kept a secret.

According to Nigeriafilms.com, Naeto C is trying to keep the press away from the church wedding. Invited guests have been warned not to divulge any information about the ceremony to the media. Following online reports, a source has revealed that the wedding will take place in Lagos.

The couple celebrated their traditional wedding earlier this year, where Naeto C preformed his traditional wedding rites.

Kris Humphries Mocks Kanye West After Signing $24 Million Contract With Brooklyn Nets

Kris Humphries signed a reported $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets, and it has him feeling pretty cocky.

The NBA player, who is currently in the middle of a messy divorce from Kim Kardashian, took aim at his soon-to-be ex's current beau -- Kanye West.

After signing with the team, who will assume their new home at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, this fall, Humphries took to Twitter to announce his good news and took a shot at West:

here is the tweet:
I'm up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ "lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team" lol!

Humphries is, of course, making reference to one of West's lyrics from the song "Way Too Cold" (originally released as "Theraflu"), in which West refers to his romance with Kardashian and threatens to use his close friendship with Nets co-owner Jay-Z to have Humphries dropped from the team:

"And I’ll admit, I had fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with him/ Well that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thang/ Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team."

So far West, who is often very vocal on Twitter, hasn't responded to the dig.

The world celebrate Mandela's 94th birthday today July 18th

SOWETO: South Africa's schoolchildren sang happy birthday to Nelson Mandela as he turned 94 on Wednesday, a day when he asks the world to honour his legacy by performing community service.

The nation's 12 million schoolchildren began their day with a special birthday song, ringing with the line: "We love you father".

"As we celebrate his birthday, we remember that he fought for us in the struggle. The struggle was to fight apartheid," said 12-year-old Kgaugelo Masunhloane at Batsogile primary school in Soweto.

"He spent 27 years in prison. We would want to say thank you Madiba, and we wish you happy birthday, and many more years to come."

Mandela, known fondly by his clan name Madiba, was unlikely to make any public appearances, but rather to spend a quiet day with his family in his village home of Qunu, where he has retired from public life.

His granddaughter Ndileka Mandela told the Sowetan newspaper that his family would celebrate with a traditional meal of tripe and samp, a corn dish popular in his region of the Eastern Cape.

"We will probably have food like samp and tripe, his favourite food," she told the paper. "The big lunch will be at 4:00 pm (1400 GMT) where we will present him with a cake."

Former US president Bill Clinton met with Mandela at his village home on Tuesday. A photograph released after the meeting showed Mandela seated in an armchair, his lap covered by a blanket, as he held Clinton's hand.

Images of the Nobel Peace Prize winner have become rare in recent years since he retired to Qunu. He was last seen in public at the closing ceremony of the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg.

But he retains an undeniable ability to inspire, and for many South Africans remains a symbol of the best of themselves, for leading the nation away from civil war and to a non-racial democracy.

Mandela's "extraordinary life and steadfast commitment to the principles of democracy and reconciliation continues to be a beacon for people of all backgrounds who strive for dignity, justice, and freedom," said President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

They described his personal story as "one of unbreakable will, unwavering integrity, and abiding humility."

"By any measure," the statement read, "Nelson Mandela has changed the arc of history, transforming his country, continent, and the world."

Obama's predecessor Clinton said he was honoured to have been in office as Mandela became South Africa's first black president in 1994.

"When I think about Mandela I always think about someone committed to the future," he said after leaving Mandela's home.

"We worked together as presidents and even after we left office we continued working together to improve education of the children worldwide in order for them to share the future," he added.

Tiger Woods, the first black player to win a major golf title with a record-shattering 1997 Masters victory, remembered his first meeting with the ever-charismatic Mandela.

"He has such a presence and aura about him, unlike anyone I've ever met," Woods said Tuesday at the British Open. "He has meant so much to so many people around the world, not just in South Africa."

At the Tour de France, children will unfurl a banner to wish the icon happy birthday at the start of the stage in the southwestern town of Pau.

And the science world added an unusual tribute, naming a prehistoric woodpecker after the Nobel Peace Prize winner -- the oldest type ever found in Africa. (AFP)

'Dark Knight Rises' premier in New York with a radiant Anne Hathaway

The actress stepped out for the New York premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" on Monday looking far from the suit-clad vixen we've seen on bus sides and billboards for months.

On the heather gray carpet, Hathaway sported her "Les Miserables" pixie cut and a brilliant white gown with a long train -- a look that her character Selina Kyle might find a bit precious.

Annie rocked it hard, however, alongside co-stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Heavily guarded may be an understatement when it comes to describing the secrecy surrounding "Rises," a cue Hathaway took in answering personal questions at the event, about the status of her wedding planning for instance.

"Weddings ... girl, do you see what I'm dealing with right now?" Hathaway told E! News, pointing to the madness of the premiere.

She's not wrong. The cast hopped on a plane after the screening to make Tuesday's scheduled London debut, and umpteen more stops she'll probably make before the movie opens July 20. And they'll visit Paris for the premiere there July 21, ahead of the opening in that city on the 25th.

One that's already looking massive, by the by. Stay tuned to the Ministry for more "Dark Knight Rises" news ahead of opening weekend.

Rihanna And Drake 'Planning To Hook Up In UK Following Chris Brown Fight'

Rihanna will meet up with rapper Drake next week while both acts perform at the Wireless Festival in London, a move which is said to make Chris Brown’s “blood boil”.

The pair, who have collaborated on tracks ‘What’s My Name’ and ‘Take Care’ are known to have hooked up in the past and will meet up ahead of their performances. No doubt they will discuss the brawl between Drake and Chris Brown which was allegedly sparked by a note that Drake sent the ‘Run it’ star about Rihanna, saying: “"I am f--king the love of your life."

But despite the brawl the pair are still on good terms a fact that is said to annoy Riri’s former lover Chris Brown.

"Rihanna and Drake are still close and are planning to meet," an insider told Grazia magazine.

"And while Chris hasn't got a leg to stand on as he's still with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran, it makes his blood boil to think of her with Drake when he's miles away."

Despite breaking up three years ago after the singer assaulted his then girlfriend, rumours that the pair are still in love persist and whether or not anything romantically is going on, if Rihanna meets up with Drake it will appear that she is siding with him over the club incident.

While Drake is said to be interested in RiRi, Chris is where her heart is according to those close to the singer.

"Rihanna thinks Chris is her soulmate," a source added. "They met up after the fight [with Drake] because Rihanna wanted to check he was OK. They have an intense bond and she can't seem to get him out of her head."

Despite the “intense bond” it hasn’t stopped the ‘We Found Love’ star hooking up with Drake. The couple were spotted together at a club in Miami last month (May) and didn’t seem to care who saw them as they kissed and held hands.
