Tom Cruise Rebound Rumors: Has He Chosen Yolanda Pecoraro As His Next Love Interest?
As rumors that Katie Holmes was "cast" in the role of Tom Cruise's third wife and signed a contract that allegedly expired right around the time she filed for divorce continue to persist, it's no surprise that there's already chatter of who will take on Holmes' role as the next Mrs. Tom Cruise.
RadarOnline is reporting that Yolanda Pecoraro, a virtually unknown actress, has been cast to fill Holmes' shoes. Experts claim that the 27-year-old could be the perfect fit for Cruise, as she's a devout Scientologist and has had two past relationships with other church members.
The website reports that Scientology expert Margery Wakefield told the National Enquirer that Cruise's next wife will be a member of the church, and a former member of the organization explained that Pecoraro is a "Scientology princess," who has been taking courses since she was 13 years old.
RadarOnline also points out that it's not the first time the actress has been linked to Cruise. In author Andrew Morton's 2008 book, "Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography" he writes that Pecoraro first met Cruise at the opening of a new Scientology center in Spain in 2004 and allegedly became his girlfriend. The book contains a photo of Cruise, Pecoraro and his high-profile pals David and Victoria Beckham at a soccer game a month after the two allegedly first met.
The claims seem dubious, but the National Enquirer was able to speak with the actress, who told the tabloid, "Yes, I knew and still know Tom Cruise. And no, I'm not married or engaged."
Though her comment doesn't give any credence to the claims that she could be the next Mrs. Tom Cruise, it certainly suggests Pecoraro has a publicist who knows a good opportunity when she sees one.
An insider goes so far as to claim that even though Yolanda lives with a boyfriend, the Church of Scientology is so embarrassed by Cruise's divorce that they are desperate to "stabilize the situation quickly" -- and there have been reports that the church is very unhappy with the onslaught of media coverage.
Given that Cruise is now living under a microscope, it seems unlikely that a new woman will be "cast" as his romantic interest anytime soon. Cruise was apparently blindsided by the divorce and heartbroken. Last week, the 50-year-old actor's lawyer Bert Fields told reporters, "[Cruise is] still tremendously saddened and shocked about the divorce. Tom is obviously relieved that the settlement was reached, but is still sad, obviously."
Janet Jackson Dispute: Singer Reportedly 'Furious' Over Niece Paris Acting In Upcoming Film
Janet Jackson is reportedly "furious" that her niece, Paris, daughter of her late brother Michael Jackson, has landed a role in the upcoming film, "Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys."
Us Weekly is reporting that Jackson "feels it goes against Michael's wishes to keep his kids out of the the limelight until age 18," according to a source who spoke with the magazine.
Paris, 14, landed the role back in December, and aunt Janet has previously expressed concern over her niece entering the spotlight so soon.
"We've spoken about the fact that you're only a child once," Janet told Prevention magazine in May. "I think there's a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films]. I told her I thought she should enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college—or not—but wait till she turns 18. She's a very tough, smart girl. But it's a cutthroat industry. I wouldn't want my child to do it."
During the manslaughter trial of Conrad Murray in October 2011, personal tape recordings of Michael Jackson were released which revealed Michael's unshakable pain over not having a childhood.
"My performances will be up there helping my children and always be my dream," Jackson said in the tapes, as previously reported by ABC News. "I loved them. I love them because I didn't have a childhood. I had no childhood. I feel their pain. I feel their hurt. I can deal with it."
"'Heal the World,' 'We Are The World,' 'Will You Be There,' 'The Lost Children'... These are the songs I've written because I hurt, you know, I hurt," he added.Although Michael's children, Paris, Prince, and Blanket, lived completely removed from the public eye while their father was alive -- he even made them wear masks and veils when out in public -- they were thrust into the spotlight when Michael died in 2009.
Still, Paris has always dreamed of emulating her father.
“When I was really little, my dad was in the movie ‘Moonwalker’ and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn’t know he could act,” Paris Jackson told Elen DeGeneres in an interview last December. “I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’”

Dan Cathy, Chick-Fil-A President, On Anti-Gay Stance: 'Guilty As Charged'
Though Chick-fil-A has come under considerable fire for its documented support of anti-gay Christian organizations, officials for the fast food chain have remained mostly tight-lipped about the controversy -- until now.
In a new interview with the Baptist Press, Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy -- the son of company founder S. Truett Cathy -- addresses what the publication describes as his franchise's "support of the traditional family."
Cathy's somewhat glib response: "Well, guilty as charged."
He went on to note, "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that...we know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."
Cathy then reiterated his stance during an appearance on "The Ken Coleman Show," Good as You blogger Jeremy Hooper reported.
"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say 'we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage' and I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about," Cathy said in that interview, which can be heard here.
Needless to say, Cathy's remarks quickly sparked the ire of a number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) advocates and bloggers. "Regardless of where you stand, the placement of LGBT people within our societal picture and within our body of laws is the conversation at hand," wrote Hooper. "That is not the same thing as 'support for the traditional family,' no matter how aggressively the self-appointed values movement attempts to (mis)name reality!"

8-Year-Old Pakistani Boy, Achieves Microsoft Certification Shafay Thobani
Qualifying to be a "Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist" is an impressive achievement regardless of one's age, but now a Pakistani boy named Shafay Thobani can boast having checked it off his to-do list at the tender age of 8, the Daily Mail and the UK's Sun newspaper are reporting.
According to Shafay's personal website -- likely managed by adults, as it makes heavy use of the phrase "the child" to describe his training and accomplishments -- he started working with computers when he was just 4 years old.
At the age of 7, Shafay started training to pass the exams necessary to become a Microsoft expert. Doing so meant 13 months on a strict schedule that involved attending school from 7:30 in the morning to 1:30 in the afternoon, followed by computer classes at his father's office from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Becasue Shafay's father is Shah Thobani, the CEO of Thobson Technologies in Karachi, the boy had access to a 1,000 square foot training space featuring three desktops, switches, routers and laptops.
Despite all those hours of work, Shafay's father and the staff who trained him didn't lose track of that fact that the boy is only 8. There was a dedicated area for chess, darts and arcade games.
All that rigorous studying appears to have paid off though, with Shafay reportedly achieving a score of 91 percent.
“I feel like the luckiest parent because at the end of each day I only ever receive very positive feedback from Shafay’s teachers," Shah Thobani was quoted as saying in the Sun. “Every year I give Shafay a new challenge to try and encourage him."
The Daily Mail reiterated the claim made on Shafay's website that he is now the youngest person to qualify as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. However, the website Pro Pakistani claims that young people achieving Microsoft certification and asserting themselves as the youngest to have done so is something of a trend in Pakistan. The site reported having reached out to Microsoft and getting word back that the company no longer tracks the ages of those who achieve certification.
In 2008, a 9-year-old girl from India achieved certification and reports surfaced that she was the youngest. Another girl who was from Pakistan -- and sadly passed away in January at the age of 16 -- had been certified in 2005 when she was 9 years old.
New record or not, Shafay notes on his website that his life dreams include helping the poor people of his country, and meeting Bill Gates. He is also open to being hired as a consultant.
